About Us
Our Mission: To ensure that stakeholders in Wayne County and throughout our region work collectively to help reduce opioid and heroin addiction, prevent overdose deaths, and improve the quality of life in our community.
Started in November 2019, the Wayne County Opioid Task Force works with a variety of public and private partners to ensure that our rural region works collectively to help reduce opioid addiction, prevent overdose deaths, and improve the quality of life in our community by enhancing weakness in substance use disorder of any form.
Organization: To simplify system development for community members and stakeholders in Wayne County, the Opioid Task Force has implemented different subcommittees focusing on Prevention and Education, Treatment Solutions, Law Enforcement and First Responders, Acquiring Data and Addressing Disparities. Utilizing county, regional and state benchmarks, each subcommittee uses current data to identify needs and impact of interventions.
