Adult Pitch Competition
WAYNE COUNTY ADULT PITCH COMPETITION 2023
The Wayne Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is excited to launch its fifth annual Kick Start Wayne County Pitch Competition, an initiative designed to foster entrepreneurship and support new business development in Wayne County. The competition offers aspiring business owners the chance to turn their innovative ideas into reality and kick start their new venture. The winners will be awarded cash prizes to KickStart their new businesses, with the first place receiving $20,000.
In order to participate, applicants are required to complete a registration form and submit it with a $50 application fee payable to the Wayne Economic Development Corporation. Additionally, they must provide an Executive Summary of their business plan and financial projections for the next three years. Furthermore, applicants must attend at least one SCORE workshop. RESOURCES FOR ADULT PITCH APPLICANTS
1. SCORE workshops A requirement for the program is to attend at least one SCORE workshop. The last in-person workshop was held August 23, 2023. If you were unable to attend an in-person workshop and would still like to apply, contact Katie Bronson for online options at KRBronson@co.wayne.ny.us or 315-946-5920.
There is a One on One with a SCORE mentor meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at the Macedon Town Library at 30 W Main St, Macedon, NY 14502 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Click Here to register to attend.
2. Sample Documents for applicants to use when preparing their business plan. NOTE: If you did not attend a live session, you must watch one of the video below and submit the Business Model Canvas*.

4. The New York Small Business Development Center (NYSBDC) provides small business owners and entrepreneurs in New York with one-on-one business counseling, training, and business research. All advisement is free and confidential. For more information visit the New York Small Business Development Center website and start by making an appointment with a Certified Business Advisor.
HOW TO APPLY
Complete the required application for any of the programs linked above, and include required documents. If proof of attendance is required for SCORE workshops, please include that documentation with your application. If required, send application fee (payable to WEDC).
