Solid Waste Management Plan - Draft 7-6-2023
Wayne County has prepared a Draft Local Solid Waste Management Plan (LSWMP) identifying the path to be pursued for managing solid waste generated in Wayne County during a ten-year planning period in an economical and environmentally sound manner that is consistent with the State’s solid waste management policy. Wayne County will hold a public meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26 at the Wayne County Planning and Economic Development Conference Room, 9 Pearl St. Lyons, NY for the purpose of presenting an overview of the Draft LSWMP at which time comments shall be heard.
Pursuant to the revised Part 360 Solid Waste Regulations as promulgated by the State of New York Department of Environmental Conservation, the public has forty five (45) days in which to review and comment on the LSWMP. A copy of the Draft LSWMP will be available in hard copy for public review at the Wayne County Planning and Economic Development Office, 9 Pearl St. Second Floor, Lyons, NY or click here for a PDF copy of the draft plan.
