Departmental Duties

  • Communication clearinghouse for countywide land use and development issues 
  • Grant writing and administrative services
  • Planning, land use, educational and facilitative services
  • Fulfill statutory requirements for New York State General Municipal Law Article 239
  • Organize and staff the Wayne County Planning Board
  • Monitor Fair Housing objectives
  • Administer and Promote Agricultural Districts programs
  • Provide County representation on appropriate inter-municipal and regional Boards

Wayne County Board of Supervisors  

Wayne County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 27th at 3pm at Village of Newark’s Village office located at 100 East Miller Street for the purpose of hearing public comments on the Wayne County 2022 RESTORE NY Round 6 grant applications for the Newark Health and Wellness Center’s project located at 105 Norton Street Newark, NY 14513.
